No matter what the number on the scale is… we tend to be overly critical of ourselves and not happy with what we see in the mirror.
This can hold true for any weight! We all see the flaws in ourselves way too easily.
A lot of people voice this with - “I don’t need to shed any pounds… I just want to lose the FAT!”
It’s a common concern that doesn’t totally make sense… unless you’re talking about gaining muscle WHILE losing fat.
This is definitely possible, but it takes focus in two specific areas:
1. Adding strength training to your gym routine
2. Paying close attention to your macros
Strength training can be as simple as lifting weights during your workout.
(And no, I don’t mean you need to become a competitive bodybuilder who’s doing 200lb. deadlifts every day!)
You can find the amount of weight that’s appropriate for your body and start adding it to your fitness routine. Cardio alone won’t get you that muscle mass!
When it comes to macros, you need to know WHAT to eat and HOW much to eat.
Check out this video where I break down all things macros and help you understand how to start tracking them without feeling totally overwhelmed.
I hope this helps you feel more confident about working towards the body you’ve always wanted!
It IS possible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. You just have to be intentional about it.
