When you get home and see a pan of brownies sitting on the counter, what’s your reaction?

 

“No thanks, I don’t need that.”

“Yum, that’s look good!”

“Oooh, I might eat two!”

“Yeah… I’m eating this whole pan right now before anyone else sees it!”

 

We’re all different! 

 

The reason so many Americans struggle with weight and the concept of “calories in vs. calories burned” is actually pretty simple - we are complex beings!

 

We’re living our lives, being influenced by so many factors that go beyond our genetics.

 

Some are from the past, some are in our subconscious… and those factors drive us to eat, or overeat, and think we’re hungry ALL the time.

 

You can jump on every fad diet and try all the things, but unless you uncover the underlying and subconscious issues, you won’t see true, lasting change.

 

  • Did your mom or dad yell at you to finish your plate at every meal?

  • Were you always the 'bigger one' in your family?

  • Did you grow up in a house that celebrated EVERYTHING with food?

  • Are your parents overweight?

  • Did they talk to you about healthy food choices?

 

These things affect you day to day and you may not even realize it.

 

You need to ask yourself, “Why am I hungry and how do I handle it?”

 

But it’s not always easy getting to the bottom of this puzzle. And even if you do find the underlying issues, then what?
