The Truth About Eating Clean

Ok guys… we’re officially a month and a half into the new year. The new decade!

 

I have two questions for you.
1 - how’s it going?

 

High fives to everyone who’s stuck with their workout routine! 

 

(And seriously no judgment if you haven’t. Tomorrow is a new day and another chance to start again!)

 

2 - are you seeing the results you want to see in your health?

 

You’re putting in the time with your workouts… but maybe the scale still isn’t moving in the right direction.

 

That might mean it’s time to talk about macros…

 

Wow! I think I heard you sigh through the screen!

 

Now stop rolling your eyes and hear me out!

 

I’m trying to save you a lot of frustration. Because there’s this big myth out there that all you have to do is “eat clean” to lose weight.

 

But there’s more to it! You have to know what you’re eating and what you’re burning off if you want to see results.

 

Especially if you’re trying to lose weight!

 

Anything that your body can’t burn off is stored, no matter what kind of food it is… so it’s really helpful to know how you’re using up those macros.

 

That way you know if you’re doing it the right way to meet your goals.

 

It’s like your budget with your finances… you have to pay attention to it.

Macros are the combination of proteins, carbs and fats. Why do we care about that?

 

Well, it’s effective to count calories. But counting macros is even better because it teaches you what types of foods your calories should be coming from.

 

That’s so helpful because it basically tells you what to eat and will change your body composition aka how you look!

 

Here are some examples of food staples to help you get started with your macros:

I also totally understand how overwhelming it can be to try to track those macros, especially if you feel like you’ll crumble if something else gets added to your to-do list!

 

Guess what? There are people who can help you with that!

 

(I’m one of those people, lol.)

 

I want to help you figure this out and do ALL the right things to meet your goals.

 

I don’t want you to get tricked into thinking exercise is all you need. Or diet is all you need.

 

It’s a healthy balance of both that will get you where you want to be.
