Have you ever put on your glasses and suddenly the world seems a little foggy?
Even if you don’t wear regular glasses, I bet this has happened with your sunglasses. 😎
You pull them off your face and do that “breathe on the lens, wipe it with your shirt” thing…
That’s better! It makes such a difference when you can see clearly. Everything comes back into focus.
Did you know you’re much more likely to meet your goals when you have a clear vision?
Yet so many of us are viewing our goals through smudged glasses.
We’re winging it… hoping we stay on track.
But if you can commit to a plan that creates a clear vision, you WILL stay on track!
Here are some things I do to make sure I’m clear on my goals and how I’ll reach them:
1. Write down your goals.
Studies have shown you’re 42% more likely to reach your goal if you write it down. And these don’t have to be just physical goals! It could be to finish a book, make yummy dinners, get your finances in order etc.
2. Write down a daily task list that will get you going in the direction of those goals.
This could be something like read 8 pages every morning when you wake up. These things individually take only a small amount of time, but in a month, you may have finished your book!
3. Make these tasks non-negotiable.
Every single day you check in on the list and check each one off, no excuses. This will get you closer and closer to your goals.
This helps us create a clear vision for what we want to focus on and makes sure those things are getting attention daily.
January is the perfect time to adopt new habits. We’re all feeling motivated to get our butts in gear and make the necessary changes to improve our lives in 2020!
Let’s do that with crystal clear 2020 vision.
Will you join me in committing to a clear path to our goals this year?
I know the obstacles will pop up, but what if we use those as fuel to get more focused rather than get discouraged?
Take some time to sit down, write down those goals, and figure out how you’ll get there.
Do you want to get it done or be full of excuses?
