Fall Favorites
Sipping something yummy and warm from Starbucks in September… one of my favorite things that gives me all the fall feels!
You’ll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t have a favorite Starbucks beverage… mine is the Starbucks Chia Latte - my dream fall drink!
There’s just something about it… It tastes so invigorating to me - if a drink can even taste like that, lol…
The zing of the spices, the earthy tones and creamy milk get me every time!
Aside from my waistline, my wallet also benefits when I don’t buy one every day. But I didn’t want to give up my favorite treat, so I found a way to make it at home as a protein shake.
Healthier and budget-friendly!
It can be sipped as a breakfast, snack, pre or post-workout, or even a dessert! It is protein packed.
Vanilla Chia Latte Protein Shake
2 Scoops Vanilla Arbonne Protein Powder
4 oz chai tea
6 oz unsweetened almond milk (any flavor will do, I like unsweetened coconut) or fat free Fairlife milk, (sometimes I do half of each)
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cardamom
1 cup ice
(*If you have on hand, feel free to throw in one scoop Daily Protein boost or collagen protein for some extra protein!)
Put everything together in a blender and enjoy!
The Arbonne protein powder has 20g of protein. If you have another vanilla protein powder on hand it would probably work as well! When you add the boost or collagen, you get an extra 10g. If you also use Fairlife milk, that’s another 10g of protein! You can easily make this a delicious protein-packed treat.
If you have a milk frother at home, you can even turn this cold drink into a hot one! Just blend 1 scoop of the protein into the milk as it froths, (add it in slowly) then set aside in a cup. Then, put the tea in the frother, (it won’t froth, it’s just for mixing purposes) and add in the other scoop of protein! Combine together with all the spices, give it a good mix and drink! (You might even be able to make this work in a blender instead of using a frother…)
Now you have an excuse to treat yo’self to a tasty fall beverage every day, without sacrificing your health goals or spending your hard-earned money. Now let’s talk about some MUFFINS.
I’ve got the perfect healthy dessert, (or even snack on-the-go), to get you in the holiday spirit!
